Once it’s uploaded I delete the JPG because I don’t need it anymore, and I have the original PNG should I ever need another copy in the future. When I resize them to upload I save in JPG. I save all my original images in PNG at full size. You likely won’t notice the first couple of saves but you will over time. That means each time it’s saved it loses a little bit of information and slowly over time starts to introduce artefacts, gradually degrading the quality. That means it can be saved over and over and over without degrading in quality. PNG is what’s known as a lossless image format. Don’t worry about asking questions, no one knows anything until they find it out!
